We encourage two types of participation are encouraged.

Participation only: You can attend the workshop and participate in the activities and discussions. Please send a short paragraph indicating why you are interested in the workshop and your prior experience using multiple modes and representations.

Presenter: Interested participants should submit a 3-page summary addressing how their work addresses the themes of the workshop, by April 15th, 2008. Submissions from researchers or groups who have used hands-on investigations along with other representations are especially encouraged.

Submit text file as attachment by email to Roland Hübscher at rhubscher@bentley.edu by April 15, 2008. There are no specific formatting requirements. Send a text file (including MS Word, etc. but no PDF file) so that we can easily reformat it.

All submissions will be posted on a web site to facilitate discussion before and after the workshop. Additionally a special issue of a journal and/or an edited volume is expected as a result of the workshop.
