Lenzburg

On the first day after our arrival in Switzerland, Sophia and I visited Lenzburg for some business (more about that Swiss bank account at some other time) and to have a look at this over one thousand years old town.

But you can find also much newer building as this picture proves. There are many buildings like this even in a small place like Lenzburg and it does not feel like part of a museum or staged in some way. It’s simply still there, nicely taken care of and part of the daily life. There are many more cities like this to visit in the next few months.

Looking up from the center of Lenzburg, you can see the Schloss Lenzburg which will be worth a separate visit.

As you step out of the oldest part of the town, that is, outside of the thick walls around the city, a castle from the 12th century, the homes from the 20th century, and modern art meld into a coherent whole.

And finally, the obligatory proof that we were indeed there.
