Teresa Hubscher-Younger is a Senior Usability Specialist at MathWorks. She has her PhD in computer science and software engineering from Auburn University. War Eagle! She works on Simulink, where she is learning more and more about control design engineering. Her daughter is Sophia Hubscher, an eight-year-old, at Touchstone Community School. My thesis topic for my PhD was on how students learn about algorithms, and my focus was on Human Computer Interaction and Educational Technology. This is why I want to start a side project on teaching kids (specifically kids at Sophia’s school) about programming and robotics.
